Saved By Grace

The reason that I am alive today is because of Gods Grace. I became a Christian when i was in Kindergarten at Bible Baptist School. I went through about 6th grade talking the talk and walking the walk, but not really believing what I said I believed. Then, the summer of 2005 my family and I went down to Alabama. We stayed at my uncles lake house with boats and jet skis, and of course, the lake. The last day we were down there, I was getting off the boat, and my hands were slippery. I slipped of the boat, hit my head, and my nose, and was knocked out for a few seconds. I couldn't swim or do anything for about 5 seconds. My brother was getting off right after me so he saw the entire thing and called for my dad. My dad grabbed me, as I was sinking and brought me to the surface. I was covered in blood and coughing up water. If I had been knocked unconscious for longer than I was, I might not be here today. My nose and my head hurt for days to follow, but that isn't the point. If I had been knocked out for a while, and no one saw me fall, I would be at the bottom of that lake. The reason I was only unconcious for seconds was because God wanted me to do something with my life. He had plans for me to fufill to please him. I think that was probobly the scariest moment of my life, and that woke me up that i don't know when God will take me to be with him in heaven. After that summer, i rededicated my life to Christ and each and every day, I am striving to become more like Jesus.
Jeremiah 29:11 says:
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (www.biblegateway.com)

God has a plan for everyone in the world, but it is up to us if we want to fulfill it. You never know when you will die, so try to please Jesus in everything you do.
